Yume is owned by Hannah Dang, the founder of Candid Salon in Henderson, Nevada, which she opened in 2008 and where she introduced the Japanese head spa to her clients.
What does “Yume” mean?
Yume (夢) is the Japanese word for dream. It is the feeling we want every guest to leave with.

Yume Mastery Academy is the education arm of Yume Head Spa Salon. It offers professional training in Japanese head spa, hair color and advanced blonding for stylists and beauty professionals.

What is a Japanese head spa?
A Japanese head spa is a scalp-focused treatment that combines scalp care with massage techniques for the scalp, head, ears, neck and shoulders. It is designed to support scalp and hair health and deep relaxation.
How is a head spa different from a regular shampoo?
A salon shampoo cleans the hair. A head spa is a full ritual: a scalp consultation, aromatherapy, a pre-treatment oil massage, a deep cleanse, long rhythmic massage, a warm head bath with steam and a nourishing treatment.
Is a head spa good for all hair types?
Yes. It is suitable for all hair types and textures, and products and pressure are adjusted for you.
What should I wear to a head spa?
Wear something comfortable. Steam and a face massage may affect makeup, so many guests come with a fresh face.
Is a head spa a good gift?
Yes. A head spa is a thoughtful gift for anyone who needs to slow down. Contact us and we will help you arrange it.

Yes. We recommend a consultation before big color changes and are always happy to talk through which head spa or treatment is right for you.
Can I combine services in one visit?
Yes. A head spa pairs beautifully with a haircut, color or treatment. Tell us what you would like and we will plan the right order and timing.
What if I have a scalp condition?
Please let us know when you book. If you have a medical scalp condition, check with a dermatologist before booking a head spa or treatment.
